Inaugurating the two-day summit, PM Bhattarai once again reiterated his commitment to the development of hydropower sector saying the government will focus on developing the sector once the peace process is completed.
He also declared, “Democracy plus hydropower equals to new Nepal,” on the lines of Vladimir Lenin´s famous quote: Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country.
The two-day conference with participants from Nepal and India will hold discussions on hydropower policy, progress made so far in Nepal´s hydropower sector, investment security, among other issues.
