Hours after their first formal dialogue, government and Chand-led CPN hold second round of talks

KATHMANDU, March 3: Hours after their first ever formal dialogue, the government and the underground outfit, Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), held a second round of meeting on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, March 3: Hours after their first ever formal dialogue, the government and the underground outfit, Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), held a second round of meeting on Thursday.


According to Rajan Bhattarai, foreign affairs advisor to the prime minister and a member of the government talks team, the second round of meeting ended on a positive note and they are inching closer toward finding a common ground.

Earlier today, the first round of dialogue took place at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.


While the government team is headed by Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa, the talks team of the Chand-led CPN is led by Khadga Bahadur BK.


Both the government and the Chand-led CPN formed teams for dialogue on Tuesday.
