KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Offices of the Returning Officer and Election Officer are being established across all 165 constituencies today as part of preparations for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.
Kul Bahadur GC, Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission, told Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that Returning Officer offices will be set up in district headquarters, while Election Officer offices will be established in constituencies outside the district headquarters.

Altogether, 77 Returning Officer offices will operate from district headquarters, while Election Officer offices will be established in 88 constituencies outside the headquarters.
According to the EC, the Chief Judge of each District Court will serve as the Returning Officer. Accordingly, 77 Chief District Judges have been appointed as Returning Officers, while 88 second-class officers from the judicial service have been designated as Election Officers.
