Hong Kong drops transit visa requirement for Nepali travelers

According to the Consulate General of Nepal in Hong Kong, the rule will take effect from November 15.

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has removed the mandatory transit visa requirement for Nepali passport holders transiting through Hong Kong International Airport to third countries.



According to the Consulate General of Nepal in Hong Kong, the rule will take effect from November 15.

The consulate stated that the decision follows continuous diplomatic efforts and formal requests made to the Hong Kong authorities, resulting in a significant facilitation for Nepali travellers.
