POKHARA, Feb 20: Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal on Sunday said no deal was reached with anyone over which political party should get the home ministry.

"It has not yet been decided as to which party will get the home portfolio. Although the issue had been discussed in the UML Standing Committee, no decision has been made," Khanal said speaking here at the convocation function of the Pokhara University.[break]

Asked on the party standing committee´s decision to pick Bishnu Paudel as home minister, Khanal said that decision i not final. Party leaders will meet again to finalize the issue," he said.

"The government will not be in problem just because of the dispute over distribution of ministerial portfolios.. Cabinet expansion will not be stalled due the Home portfolio," he said, adding that a full-fledged cabinet would be formed soon.

The prime minister also said he was committed to writing the constitution on time by forging a national consensus. He, however, said forging such a consensus is not easy.
