KATHMANDU, April 16: Local winds are currently influencing the country’s weather, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. Hilly regions are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country is enjoying sunny sky.
This afternoon, thunderclouds may develop and bring drizzle to moderate rain with lightning to a few areas in the hills of Koshi Province and isolated places in other provinces. A few locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions may also receive light rain and snowfall.

Tonight, clouds are likely to cover the hilly areas of Koshi and other regions, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear. A few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may witness light rain with thunder and lightning. High hills and mountains may also receive light rain and snowfall in some places.
