KATHMANDU, Sept 29 : Continuous rainfall, floods, and landslides have disrupted transportation in six locations across the country, leaving major highways blocked.
According to Nepal Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General Binod Ghimire, routes in Sankhuwasabha, Sindhupalchok, and Rasuwa districts remain obstructed as of 9 a.m. today.
In Sankhuwasabha, the Koshi Highway has been completely blocked at Barun in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality–4 and at Ekua in Makalu Rural Municipality–3 due to persistent rainfall. The road in Ekua has been closed for a prolonged period.

In Rasuwa, flooding at Gosainkunda–2 has cut off the route, halting operations at the Nepal-China border crossing. Another landslide at Tatopani in Gosainkunda–2 has obstructed the Pasang Lhamu Highway, where clearance work is underway.
Sindhupalchok has also been heavily affected, with landslides at Ek Kilo in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality–7 blocking the Araniko Highway since Sunday, and another slide at Barah Kilo in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality–2 causing a complete halt in traffic today.
Meanwhile, the Narayangadh–Muglin road section, previously closed by a landslide at Tuiin Khola, has been cleared and reopened for vehicles.
Authorities said efforts are ongoing to remove debris and restore traffic flow in the affected areas.
