Heavy vehicles banned on Karnali Highway following road collapse

According to the District Police Office, Kalikot, the road was damaged earlier this morning, prompting authorities to restrict the operation of large vehicles for safety reasons.

SURKHET, July 4: Movement of heavy vehicles along the Karnali Highway has been halted after a section of the road caved in at Gothibhir, Tilagufa Municipality-6, Kalikot district.

According to the District Police Office, Kalikot, the road was damaged earlier this morning, prompting authorities to restrict the operation of large vehicles for safety reasons.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Rawal stated, “We urge the public to exercise caution while traveling on the highway due to increased risks caused by continuous rainfall.”
