Health workers stage demonstration in support of Rajbiraj colleagues

BIRATNAGAR, Dec 6: Eight different associations of health workers in Morang staged a joint demonstration here today in support of health workers agitating at the Gajendra Narayan Singh hospital in Rajbiraj, Saptari.

A rally that began from Koshi Zonal hospital chowk passed through traffic chowk, mahendra chowk before handing a memo at the DistrictAdministration Office. The participants of the rally called for action against those security personnel involved in committing atrocities against the hospital staff. The memo also calls for treatment of the health workers injured during the alleged police suppression.

Nepal Medical Association, Medical Laboratory Association, Nepal Health Workers Association, Madhesi Health Workers Forum Nepal, among others joined the rally. The health workers at the hospital in Rajbiraj are agitating against the police excesses that took place on November 22. RSS
