Govt efforts to undermine provision of inclusion in election unacceptable: Pandey

KATHMANDU, August 7: CPN-UML Member of Parliament Binda Pandey said that it will not be acceptable if the government tries to undermine the constitutional provision of inclusive participation in the upcoming elections on November 20.

KATHMANDU, August 7: CPN-UML Member of Parliament Binda Pandey said that it will not be acceptable if the government tries to undermine the constitutional provision of inclusive participation in the upcoming elections on November 20. 


Speaking in the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, MP Pandey said that it will not be acceptable if the government tries to distort the constitutional provision of inclusive participation in the election.

She said that the coalition government has removed women from executive posts in the name of the coalition in 163 municipalities in the local elections. Pandey said that they have trampled on the constitutional provision of inclusive participation on the basis of gender in every organ of the state.
