Teachers and staff working in community schools have been protesting in Kathmandu since April 2, demanding the immediate passage of the School Education Bill, 2080, which aims to amend the existing laws related to school education. The bill was presented in the House of Representatives.
Earlier, the ministry had called for discussions on April 3 and 4 to build a consensus, but the teachers did not attend the talks.
Following this, the Ministry has once again called for talks scheduled for Wednesday. The Ministry has invited the NTA to ensure the presence of representatives from all categories of teachers and staff, including temporary teachers, former higher secondary teachers, early childhood education teachers, and school staff.
