"Had there been parliament in place, this government would have been reduced to a minority status and voted out. But this government exists as there is no parliament at present," leader K.C. said, speaking at an interaction programme organized by the party´s Rupandehi District Area No. 1 Committee here on Thursday. He said the government itself was obstruction to forging national consensus and demanded that the election to the local bodies should be organized at the earliest.
Addressing the interaction titled ´Political Crisis in he Country and Federalism´, the Rastriya Janamorcha party chief also underlined the need of waging a joint struggle for checking the arbitrary activities and the autocratic tendency of the government.
General Secretary of the All Nepal Indigenous Nationalities Conference, Ram Bahadur Budha, presented a working paper in which he has argued that federalism was not tenable in Nepal and therefore not necessary.
