“The film is based on women’s lives in the present-day society. It’s been a pleasure working in the film that has [the late] Gopal Yonjan’s songs,” shared Shrestha.
The film has seven songs and will be released after Tihar. It is the 14th film that has Yonjan’s songs. He started composing music and songs for Nepali films since 1963.
“Yonjan has penned romantic as well as patriotic songs. His songs in this film have been rerecorded,” shared Yonjan’s wife, Rinchen, adding, “It took 18 months to get the seven songs ready for the film.”
The vocalists for the rerecording are Milan Amatya, Deepak Limbu, Ram Chandra, Karma Gyalchen, Manoj Sewa, Reema Gurung Hoda, and Uday Sotang.
“I worked with Yonjan during my college days. So I was influenced [by him] to keep myself updated about music. I believe the integration of the storyline and music in the film is good,” shared lyricist Bishwombhar Pyakurel.
“I’ve learnt to work in movies the traditional way but I’ve also tried to use modern techniques,” shared director Rauniyar.
She has worked as assistant director in films like ´Siundoko Sindoor´, ´Man Mandir´, ´Mama Ghar´, and ´Bir Ganesh Man´.
“I got to experience the feeling of working for a Nepali film that’s based on family issues. If the scripts are good, I have plans to work in other films, too,” shared actor Koirala at the event.
