Gold, silver prices see slight rise

KATHMANDU, April 16: Gold and silver prices in the local market recorded a modest increase on Thursday.



The price of gold rose by Rs 100 per tola, while silver increased by Rs 30 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA).

The price of hallmarked gold has been fixed at Rs 302,800 per tola, while silver is being traded at Rs 5,250 per tola.


On Wednesday, fine gold was traded at Rs 302,700 per tola and silver at Rs 5,220 per tola, the FENEGOSIDA reported.


According to international media reports, gold is currently being traded at USD 4,821 per ounce in the international market, while silver stands at USD 80 per ounce.
