KATHMANDU, Jan 29: The price of gold and silver continues to set records in the local market on Thursday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of one tola of hallmarked gold is Rs 339,300, while the price of an equivalent amount of silver is Rs 7,505.
Gold price rises by Rs 1,600 per tola to set new record
On Wednesday, the price of one tola of hallmarked gold was Rs 318,800, and silver was Rs 7,300. Similarly, last Tuesday, one tola of hallmarked gold was valued at Rs 309,300, while silver was Rs 6,870.
According to international media, in today’s global market, one ounce of gold is trading at USD 5,560, and the same quantity of silver is priced at USD 120.
