KATHMANDU, June 23: Gionee has launched two new smartphones -- Elife E8 and Marathon M5 -- in the Nepali market. Issuing a press statement, the company said that both the models come with number of never-before-seen features.
"Elife E8 uses a 24-megapixel rear camera with proprietary software that can produce images of 120 megapixels quality and an 8-megapizel front facing camera. Similarly, the phone also features optical image stabilization, lossless zoom up to 3x and 4K video recording," the statement added.

The dual-SIM Elife E8 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Amigo 3.1 operating system and has a 6-inch QHD (1600x2560 pixel) Super Amoled display.
The phone comes with 2GHz CPU, 3GB RAM, a fingerprint scanner and internal storage capacity of 64GB. It is powered by a 3,520mAh battery. In the similar manner, the Gionee Marathon M5, successor to the Gionee Marathon M3, runs on Android Lollipop OS. It is a dual-SIM phone with 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) Amoled display, a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage, among other features. The phone features a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapxiel front camera, according to the statement.
