Germany grants Rs 1.41b for Nepal

KATHMANDU, Aug. 18: The Government of the Federation Republic of Germany has agreed to provide a grant assistance of Rs 1.41 billion to the Government of Nepal in the sectors of renewable energy, health sector and peace process, Nepal peace trust fund.



Agreement to this effect was signed and exchanged in the capital today by Krishna Hari Baskota, Finance Secretary and Verena Grafin von Roedern, Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany to Nepal. [break]



This grant will be mobilized after the joint financing agreements and project agreements with the authorities concerned, said the Ministry of Finance in a press release.
