KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has appealed to young people with no direct affiliation to the party to extend their support, saying their involvement is essential for strengthening the party.
Through a Facebook video post on Wednesday, Thapa said the youth can play a crucial role in giving new energy and strength to the party’s reform journey. He also urged all party members to actively participate in discussions and preparations for the upcoming general convention.

Addressing especially the younger generation, Thapa said, “Your support is indispensable. I also call on other young friends — even those not directly associated with the Nepali Congress — to join this journey of reform, as your support will bring new energy and strength.”
Thapa’s remarks make it clear that the NC is seeking active engagement and backing from the younger generation in its internal reform and restructuring efforts.
