G-9, the band from Pokhara walked away as the winner of the competition collecting the maximum number of votes and a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 and a chance to cut their own music video.[break]
The second and third position was awarded to Fire Tongue and The Blackout with the bands receiving a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000.
The event which was broadcast live from Image Channel and Image FM saw the three bands battle it out by performing two of their original compositions at the event. G-9 wooed the crowd with “Teen Ghanta” and “Aash”.
The band received 51,307 votes out of the total 95,744 votes.

After winning the competition Prayatna Shrestha, vocalist of G-9 said, “The competition was tough and The Blackout and Fire Tongue both performed really well but we have our fans and supporters to thank who helped us win.”
Judge rocker Abhaya Subba Weise was quick to add, “G-9’s win proves that the competition was a national event.
They are from Pokhara and possess a unique style.”
She praised all three finalists, “Everyone had something unique to offer. In fact, we had difficulty figuring out who would make it till the end since top 6. Each had their own specialty.”
