Four students commit suicide after failing SLC

KATHMANDU, June 21: Four students committed suicide after failing School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations in different parts of the country.

Sita Magar, 17, of Bageshwori-5, Manakamanapur in Banke district hanged herself to death after failing the exam. District Police Office, Banke said the dead body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her house.  



 Magar, a student at Nepal Rastriya High School, failed in mathematics by 2 marks. DSP Sushil Rathore said the girl in the suicide wrote that she failed to fulfil her parents’ dream.
       
Police said Mamata Pabhar, 17, of Butwal Municipality-8 of Rupandehi district committed suicide by consuming poison. She was rushed to Manigram-based Kisman Hospital, but breathed her last while receiving treatment.

Likewise, 17-year-old Manisha Pandey of Bhanu-2, Tilhar of Tanahun was found hanging at her house on Saturday.  

Similarly, Sunil Bharati of Maidi-8, Devisthan of Dhading killed himself by hanging on Friday. Police said he was found hanging from a tree using a rope in a nearby jungle.
