KATHMANDU, May 5: Police have arrested four people in possession of Rs 9.517 million from undisclosed sources.
According to Apil raj Bohora, spokesperson and Superintendent of Police at the Kathmandu District Police Range, those arrested have been identified as Samundra Jamkatel,29 from Tarakeswar Municipality-3, Kathmandu; Ganesh Rai,43, from Saptakoshi Municipality-1, Saptari; Santosh Gurung,31, from Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality-3, Lamjung; and Santosh Ghimire, 39.
Four arrested with Rs 6.8 million from undisclosed source
SP Bohora stated that the four were arrested on Sunday near Pashupati Vision in Pingalasthan of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9. They were found riding two motorcycles in a suspicious manner and a search of their bags led to the discovery of the large sum of money.
As the source of the cash could not be verified, police have launched a further investigation into the matter.
