Former President Bhandari scheduled to visit China from May 24

According to sources from the former president's secretariat, she will depart for Beijing on May 24, at the invitation of the Chinese government. During her visit, she will lead a delegation of some senior leaders from the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-UML).

KATHMANDU, May 19: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari is set to visit China for a week-long trip next week.


According to sources from the former president's secretariat, she will depart for Beijing on May 24, at the invitation of the Chinese government. During her visit, she will lead a delegation of some senior leaders from the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-UML).

During the visit, it has been reported that former President Bhandari will also hold high-level political meetings in Beijing.


She served two terms as the President of Nepal. This will be her first foreign visit after completing her presidential tenure.
