Bhatta said the fast-unto-death was started demanding shifting of the families, which are at risk of flood, to safer places, rightful rehabilitation of the displaced families and arrangement of education, health and settlement.

He further said they have to stage the fast-unto-death again as the agreement signed with the government last year was not implemented.

The government has enlisted 308 families in the record of landslide victims but has not forwarded any rehabilitation programs, he complained. More than 800 families in the district have been displaced by the floods, it is learnt.
