Fire destroys property in Saptari

SAPTARI, March 3: Property worth Rs 1.5 million was gutted when a fire broke out at Dhangada-5 of Saptari district on Tuesday night. Police said 12 houses and six cowsheds were destroyed.



Police said the fire spread from a fire burnt to repel mosquitoes in a cowshed owned by Hari Yadav. The fire destroyed houses and cowsheds of Hari Yadav, Surya Narayan Yadav, Hari Narayan Yadav, Mahina Narayan Yadav and Dhanbir Yadav.



Fire brigades from Rajbiraj and local villagers battled for around three hours to control the fire.
