Fire breaks out at shoe warehouse in Kailali

Police said the fire was brought under control with the help of the municipality’s fire truck, police personnel, and local residents.

KAILALI, Sept 6: A fire broke out at a shoe warehouse in Kailali, causing losses of over Rs seven million, according to police.



The incident occurred at around 2:40 AM today at Kalpana Traders and Suppliers, located on Tikapur Road in Lamkichuha Municipality–1. Police said the fire was brought under control with the help of the municipality’s fire truck, police personnel, and local residents.

The warehouse, owned by Lamki resident Kalpana Jaishi, stored shoes and slippers. While the blaze destroyed all the goods inside, no human casualties were reported.


Since no one resided in the warehouse, the cause of the fire is still under investigation, police added.
