KATHMANDU, June 14: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has stressed conservation of environment and pollution control. He also called for cooperation from all sides to achieve the goal of conserving the environment and controlling pollution.
During an 'EV Rally' organized by the Annapurna Media Network in the capital on Saturday, Minister Paudel informed that the government was making relevant policies and laws in view of climate change and its impact on the environment. "Clean environment is a need not only of a country but of the entire planet," he said, adding that Nepal, however, has twin priorities- infrastructure development and environment conservation.

He expressed pride in the recent conduct of the Sagarmatha Samaad because it was a medium to spread the global message of climate change impact and preserve mountains. The government is firm in promoting electric vehicles, Minister Paudel shared.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Annapurna Media Network, Rameshwor Thapa, said his institution was not only spreading the message for environmental conservation but also in the campaign to realize it.
