Minister Pun asked ANFA and other sports authorities to start the process of constructing alternative stadium and mini-stadium within the Kathmandu Valley. [break]
"You can start initial process for the construction. The government is positive toward allocating budget," said Pun.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai was to inaugurate the hostel but he could not attend the function citing busy schedule.
ANFA President Ganesh Thapa said construction of a ground with an artificial turf has been started at ANFA Complex along with construction of ground in 10 hill districts.
ANFA has recently added two stories with 18 rooms to the ANFA Academy building, which had three storeys earlier. The then Crown Prince Dipendra Shah had inaugurated the ANFA Complex in 2056 BS.
ANFA has informed that the newly added rooms will be used as hostel for participants of closed camp trainings of national teams.
