Figo Aspire hits Nepali roads

KATHMANDDU, Aug 13: Go Ford, the authorized distributor of Ford vehicles in Nepal, has launched its compact sedan Ford Aspire in Nepal with price starting from Rs 2.49 million.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Nigel Harris, president and managing director of Ford India said that the Figo Aspires breaks all stereotypes and proves that a compact sedan can also have the best of everything -- design, smart technology, advanced safety and impressive fuel efficiency."Drawing on our global product development capabilities, we're proud to have created a car that truly raises the bar in the segment and gives consumers a chance to own what they truly deserve," Harris said.

Available in 4 trim levels -- Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+, customers will have choice with new and improved 1.2-liter Ti-VCT petrol engine, delivering a peak power of 88 PS and fuel economy of 18.2 km/liter and a 1.5-liter TDCi diesel engine, offering a peak power of 100 PS and an fuel economy of 25.8 km/liter, the company said in a press release.

Ford officials said that the Aspire features a robust passenger cage created from high-strength steel, dual front airbags. Smart technology for consumers to stay connected, My Key technology that lets rider program keys with restricted driving modes, elegant and efficient design, intelligent interior, automatic climate control system, among other features.

Aspire comes in seven color options -- ruby red, sparkling gold, oxford white, tuxedo black, deep impact blue, ingot silver, and smoke grey.
