Elephant tramples woman to death

DAMAK, Jan 9: A woman died after a wild elephant attacked her in Pathari VDC of Morang district Monday morning.

Area Police Office, Pathari, said local Keshar Maya Rai, 50, died in the elephant trample at 5 a.m. today. [break]

Similarly, wild tusker demolished two houses in Lakhanpur VDC in Jhapa district last night. Police said no human casualty was reported in Jhapa.
