KATHMANDU, May 9: Eight more people have died of COVID-19 in Banke. The deceased were being treated at Bheri Hospital and Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital.

According to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (DCCMC), three of the deceased were from Banke, two each from Bardiya and Dang and one from Kailali.
With this a total of 180 people from Banke and 136 who came to the district for treatment have died of COVID, according to Tej Prasad Oli, focal person of the DCCMC.
