KATHMANDU, March 29: The police arrested Munindra Rajbhandari, a commander of the Royal Task Force (RTF) formed by Durga Prasai, for his involvement in the Tinkune incident.
According to police sources, Rajbhandari was rounded up from the Balaju area on Saturday.
Raj Bhandari participated in the pro-monarchy protest in Tinkune on Friday. The protest turned violent, causing the deaths of two people, including a journalist. He posted a Facebook status accusing the state of being responsible for the journalist’s death earlier today.

Police are still attempting to locate and arrest the commander of the pro-monarchy protest Durga Prasai for his role in inciting the mob of protesters. He has remained off-grid after posting on Facebook on Friday afternoon.
The police arrested several individuals, including Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Senior Vice Chairman Rabindra Mishra, General Secretary Dr. Dhawal Shamser Rana, and Swagat Nepal, for participating in the pro-monarchy protest on Friday.
The police also detained religious leader Pushkar Khatiwada this morning for his involvement in stone-pelting during the violent protest in Tinkune on Friday. Khatiwada is also said to be the religious teacher (guru) of Prasai who is suspected to have harbored Prasai in his residence on Friday night.
