Senior Chinese officials had recently visited Dolakha and expressed serious concern over the matter.
The DoI has directed the police to keep a strict special vigil and discourage the illegal entrants.
The District Police Office, Dolakha, however denied having received any such directives. "We have not received any instructions from anywhere," claimed Dolakha Police Chief Dhiraj Pratap Singh. He, however, said that security had been beefed up on the border to curb illegal entry of Tibetans.
Meanwhile, at least 10 Tibetans entered Nepali territory the same evening Chinese officials visited Dolakha. Police personnel at Border Police Office, Lamabagar sent them back to Tibet. District Police Office, Dolakha, however, refused to verify the information.
Sources said the DoI has asked Dolakha District Police Office to set up police outposts on the border.
