KATHMANDU, March 29: Almost one month has passed by since Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli called on the public to rebuild Dharahara Reconstruction Campaign on their own.

During this period, public have not donated any money in the collection fund except by prime minister, ministers and few other officials.

As of now Rs 1.8 million has been collected in the fund after the prime minister and ministers donated their one month's salary.

The public have been found reluctant in raising fund apparently over the lack of trust on the government.

Oli on Tuesday expressed serious concerns over the reconstruction campaign not gaining any momentum.

Speaking at a meeting called by the National Reconstruction Authority today, Oli said, "Only Rs 1.8 million has been raised so far. The ministers and some government officials have donated it. Not a penny has been donated so far by the public."

With the reconstruction facing long delays, Prime Minister Oli had started Dharahara Reconstruction Campaign on February 16.
