Deputy Mayor Dangol leaving for Belgium to attend EU events

The EU has invited Dangol to learn about best practices promoted by the EU and to share the successful initiatives undertaken by KMC.

KATHMANDU, April 5: Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Sunita Dangol is set to depart for Belgium today at the invitation of the European Union.


The EU has invited Dangol to learn about best practices promoted by the EU and to share the successful initiatives undertaken by KMC.

Deputy Mayor Dangol's schedule includes study visits to various locations in Belgium to observe progress in urban development. After Belgium, she is scheduled to visit Luxembourg for a judicial observation tour.


During her visit, she will also gain insights into the EU's practices, as well as the efforts made in dispute resolution. As part of the tour, she is scheduled to hold discussions with local governments on various issues. 


Dangol also mentioned that there will be an opportunity to exchange experiences with UNESCO in Belgium regarding the efforts made for the preservation of cultural heritage in both Belgium and the metropolis.
