The Ministry stated this in a press release it issued today in refutation of the news published in a capital based newspaper. The news stated that Nepalese Army (NA) embezzled millions of rupees while purchasing 'Energy Biscuits' for NA.
It clarified that there was no embezzlement in the decision and it was made three years before.
The Ministry has further stated that there was no connection of the incumbent Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense in this regard unlike as is mentioned in the news in question. RSS
