Daramkhola hydropower project begins power production

The project with a capacity of 9.6 megawatts is developed by Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited. The power produced by the project is also connected to the central transmission line, officials said.

BAGLUNG, Nov 18: The Daramkhola hydropower project in Baglung has started commercial power production. 



The project with a capacity of 9.6 megawatts is developed by Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited. The power produced by the project is also connected to the central transmission line, officials said.

The dam of the project is constructed at the Kandebas area of Galkot Municipality-8, and the powerhouse is some 4.5 km away from the dam site at Manewapata, Project Engineer Mithilesh Chaudhary said.   


According to Chaudhary, the capacity of the project is 6.6 megawatts during the dry season. 


Chairman of Daramkhola Hydro Energy, Nar Bahadur Pun, shared that more than Rs 2 billion was invested in the project development.
