KATHMANDU, June 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday nosedived 32.93 points to close at 2,595.97 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,628.91 points and inclined to the day’s high at 2,631.55 points within the first half an hour. In the successive moments, the index gradually went down and reached the day’s low at 2,594.6 points in the last three minutes of trading hours.
7,914 new COVID-19 cases, 193 deaths reported

All the 13 groups were the losers. Hotels and tourism shed the largest of 217.42 points in its index, while life insurance with a decline of 135.23 points and hydropower with 100.97 points, were next in the row.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 5.38 points. The daily turnover amount declined to Rs 9.14 billion from Rs 11.23 billion on Thursday, the last trading day of the last week.
Among the individual companies, 23 were gainers while 225 were recorded as the losers. Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 757.39 million.
With a decline of 10 percentage points, Pure Energy Limited was recorded as the topmost loser. Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd gained the largest of 9.98 percent of its market price.
