KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday declined 10.50 points to close at 2,785.74 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,796.24 points and went down to as low as 2,792.29 points before inclining to the day’s high at 2,813.57 points within the first two hours of trading. In the second half, the market went downhill and plunged to the day’s low at 2,785.29 points in the last eight minutes before the market closed for the day.
Nepse gains 32 points to reclaim 2,600 territory
Four groups were listed as gainers, as development banks posting the largest gainer of 20.76 points. Out of the nine losers, life insurance had its index declined by the highest of 74.60 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 1.61 points. The daily turnover declined marginally to Rs 6.16 billion from Rs 6.91 billion on Tuesday.
Among the individual companies, 89 were gainers while 159 were recorded as losers. Balephi Hydropower Limited witnessed the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 341.12 million.
KBL Debenture 2086 with a decline of 9.48 percent was the topmost loser. Maya Khola Hydropower Company Limited added the largest of 5.74 percent in its market price.
