KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday slid 1.64 points to close at 2,681.50 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,683.15 points, reaching the day’s high at 2,702.9 points in the first half an hour. The market then fell gradually and hit as low as 2,671.03 points in the last 19 minutes, while the market recovered around 10 points before it closed for the day.

Six groups were the losers, as manufacturing and processing plunged by the largest of 50.16 points. Of the seven gainers, finance added the largest of 23.33 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies decreased 0.70 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 7.49 billion from Rs 8.63 billion.
Among the individual companies, 113 were gainers while 134 were recorded as losers. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 800.07 million.
HLI Large Cap Fund lost by the highest of 5.54 percent. Four companies including Kalinchowk Darshan Limited, Super Mai Hydropower Limited, Super Madi Hydropower Limited and Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had their market indices increased by the highest of 10 percent.
