In this connection, Chairman Dahal, who is also the coordinator of the High Level Political Coordination Committee (HLPCC), has busied himself in meetings and consultations with the leaders of the different political parties since the morning today.
He has continued his efforts towards starting the today's Parliament session in the backdrop of the people's voices not being formally articulated in the legislature due to its stalling for long owing to the ongoing protests in the Tarai Madhes, the undeclared border blockade imposed by India.
Coordinator of the HLPCC Dahal separately met with Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bashadur Deuba and general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula.
During the meetings, the leaders are understood to have held discussions on operation of the regular business of the Legislature-Parliament in its meeting scheduled for 3 pm today.
Likewise, Dahal met Deputy Prime Minister and chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, Kamal Thapa and chairman of the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, Mahantha Thakur. Dahal reached Thakur's residence in Bhaktapur for consultations after meeting Thapa.
They held discussions on removing the obstruction in the House, according to Shiva Khakurel, Dahal's assistant.
The bill on Post-earthquake Reconstruction and the bill on Constitution Amendment have been held back as the House has not been able to take up its business due to the obstruction by the agitating Madhes centric parties. RSS
