LUMBINI (Rupandehi), April 18: Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the new constitution was not promulgated on time as the ruling parties centered their activities to continue the power.

Speaking at a press meet organized by Revolutionary Journalists' Association in Gautam Buddha Airport, Bhairahawa on Saturday Chairman Dahal, also the Coordinator of the 30-party alliance of the opposition parties, blamed the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML for carrying out their activities to remain in power rather than forging political consensus to promulgate the new constitution.

Former Prime Minister Dahal said the difference of opinions seen among the partners of the alliance was natural and it would be settled soon. He further said that there was no alternative to forge consensus among political parties. RSS
