KATHMANDU, April 24: The CPN-UML is hosting a Youth Festival in Kathmandu today.
Marking Loktantra Diwas, the party will begin the event at 1 PM this afternoon at Bhrikutimandap, according to the organizers.

Madhav Dhungel, coordinator of the program facilitation team, said party chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel will deliver brief congratulatory remarks, while youth speakers will lead the rest of the program.
House of Representatives member Suhang Nembang, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Sunita Dangol, Anand Singh, Bishnu Pokhrel, Ashwini Sheikh, Shivakumari Chaudhary, Bishal Pun, and Sharmila Bhandari, among other young participants, will share their views at the event.
"Youths under the age of 40 will speak their minds. The event will feature a concert, dances, and cultural performances, all led by young people. They will completely steal the spotlight from the seniors," Dhungel said.
The organizers have designated Baggikhana for motorcycle and scooter parking, Tundikhel for mini and large buses, and the stadium for small vehicles.
