They also demanded that the Indian government apologize publicly, express a commitment not to repeat such acts, and take action against the Indian security personnel involved.
The statements said that Indian armed police raided Shrestha´s house and also terrorized the locals.
"The raid by Indian armed force personnel is direct intervention and a naked assault on Nepali sovereignty. We seriously condemned such acts," read the statement issued by the CPN-Maoist and the joint statement issued by the youth organizations. They also appealed to nationalist forces and the common people to save Nepal´s national sovereignty.
"An Indian armed force has raided our land while a ´farce of an election´ is being staged by the four-party syndicate. We seriously condemned the government´s silence over the whole affair. We demand that the government immediately make public its official view," the statement further says.
According to the statement, the CPN-Maoist led 33-party alliance has been holding protests to save national sovereignty. They have also accused the government, arguing that the Indian intervention was a result of the government and parties acting like agents.
The party statement was issued by Pampha Bhusal, spokesperson of CPN-Maoist. The joint statement of the four youth organizations was issued by Udaya Bahadur Chalaune, chief of National Youth People´s Volunteer, Madhav Thapa, chief of Revolutionary Youth Wing, Sujan of Youth People´s Security Force and Jit Bahadur Lama of Nepal Youth Communist Association (United).
