KATHMANDU, May 12: Police have arrested CP Gajurel along with 29 others of Nepal Communist Party-Revolutionary after protest against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Nepal.

Of those arrested, five are women. According to DSP Mohan Thapa, spokesperson of Metropolitan Police, Kathmandu, they were arrested for staging protests against Modi. The party had been organizing a protest program against civic felicitation to the visiting PM.
Police said that the arrests were made following orders to arrest anyone who were involved in anti Modi campaign.
