According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 426 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 between January 1 and August 4, 2025.
Ministry spokesperson Dr Prakash Budhathoki has urged the public to adopt precautionary measures, given the steady rise in infection. The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) also reported that three people have died from COVID-19 during this period.
Among the 49 districts with confirmed cases, Bagmati Province has recorded the highest number of infections, with 294 individuals testing positive, the division said.
Health authorities have called for increased vigilance, especially in areas with rising cases.
