COVID-19 death toll in Rupandehi district hits 31

BUTWAL, Oct 7: Two more individuals succumbed to COVID-19 in Rupandehi district on Tuesday night.



The deceased were undergoing treatment at Butwal-based Corona Special Hospital.

According to Dr Bishnu Gautam, Information Officer at the Hospital, a 55-years-old woman from Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City and 73-years-old man from Nawalparasi breathed their last while undergoing treatment last night. “They were also suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and high fever.”


As of Wednesday morning, as many as 31 people have succumbed to COVID-19. Most of the deceased are reported as being the  patients of kidney diseases, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Currently, there are 40 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment at Butwal Corona Special Hospital of which 15 are in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
