Couple injured while demolishing house in Baneshwor

KATHMANDU, June 15: Two people have sustained injuries while demolishing a house damaged by earthquake at KMC-10, Baneshwor on Sunday.

Police identified the injured as Suraj Shrestha and his wife Hema Shresta.


The couple was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment. Seriously injured Hema has been referred to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for further treatment, police said.

Likewise, Prakashman Chalan was injured while demolishing a two-storey house in Nallu, Lalitpur.

According to police, Chalan has been taken to Patan Hospital after preliminary treatment at the Chapagaun-based Anandaban Hospital.
