Constitution awareness campaign to kick off Monday

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: The government is kicking off a campaign ‘Janata ko Sambidhan, Janatakai Maaj’, roughly translated as ‘People’s constitution amidst them’ to familiarize the public with the new constitution from Monday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for External Affairs Kamal Thapa, who also holds portfolio of Minister for Local Development, informed to that end amidst a press conference here on Sunday.

According to Thapa, programs will be held at district, municipality and VDC level in the month-long campaign.

Thapa said the campaign was launched believing that it would be appropriate to inform people by the government. The government has provided Rs five million for the campaign.
