In a press release issued Friday, the CIB said that during protests on September 8 and 9, the government and private buildings, banks, and other financial institutions had been looted. Historical documents, papers, valuables, weapons, and other essential items—including cash—were reportedly taken from these sites and circulated in the market. The CIB and other police offices are conducting investigations.
The bureau also requested that anyone with information on such items report to the nearest security authority. It further warned that possessing, buying, or selling stolen or looted items will be punishable under the prevailing law.
