Chinese government provides sports materials to NSC

KATHMANDU, July 16: China's Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau has provided sports goods and health test kits to the National Sports Council (NSC).

At a program organized on Tuesday at the International Sports Complex, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of China in Nepal, Wang Xin, handed over 34 different types of sports materials worth Rs 8.5 million to the NSC's member-secretary, Tanka Lal Ghising.

On the occasion, NSC's vice-chairperson Dhruba Acharya thanked the Chinese government for the assistance and expressed his confidence that the sports materials would be helpful in the training of the Nepali players.

Member-Secretary Ghising said Nepal and China have established good relations in several areas and shared that China has promised to provide such aid to the NSC every year.

Likewise, Deputy Chief of Mission Wang expressed that the Chinese support would contribute to the development of the Nepali sports sector.
